What is S.A.V.E.?
Just what is this "Students Against Very Evil"? That's probably what you're asking yourself right now. Well, read the name, you'll figure it out.
We're students. And we fight evil. That about covers it. But I'll give you the details anyway.
For the last 60 years or so, S.A.V.E. has existed as a way to protect KU, Lawrence, Kansas ... and sometimes the whole world from all those that would do harm. It's a pretty tall order if you really think about it. But that's why S.A.V.E. members are hand-selected, the best and brightest, the toughest and bravest around. People like me.
Do we actually fight? Hell yes we do. Sometimes with fists, sometimes with weapons. Usually we like to solve problems without violence, but it usually comes to that.
Is there really "evil"? Well, I'm no philosophy major. But there are lots of people out there trying to do things that I don't like. Things like hurting and killing other people. Some things even worse than that. If for you that doesn't count as "evil", well I guess I can't help you. And you probably shouldn't even be reading this. Go to a sociopath chat room or something.
Shouldn't the police be the ones fighting evil? Sure they should ... and they do, everyday. So do firefighters, hospital staff, social workers, etc. and so forth. They all do a great job. But there's some stuff that they can't do. Some things that this organization was created to deal with. Don't know what I'm talking about? Well, read the History of S.A.V.E. for some clues. Or just talk to a S.A.V.E. member ... they've all got stories.
Or better yet, join S.A.V.E. and find out firsthand. That is, if you think you've got what it takes.
